The Murray Series 32 Disc Harrow is an excellent choice for soil preparation and breaking up virgin land. Built heavy duty, the tandem disc setup combines rugged capabilities with smart features.
The durable box frame is built in two parts, with a pivot point that is able to be locked providing different working configurations. It supports four gangs of discs – two front and two rear. Gang angles can be individually adjusted by way of crank screws to suit different conditions. The angle can be adjusted between 0 and 20 degrees to vary the aggression of cultivation. Disc gangs are mounted on “sealed-for-life” bearings set in rubber. No greasing is required which minimises unproductive maintenance downtime.
In a standard form the Series 32 is a four gang Disc Harrow for use with light to medium powered tractors. By removing the rear frame section and gangs, the Series 32 becomes a handy two-gang implement for light work. Alternatively, the rear frame section and gangs can be pivoted upwards to provide additional weight for penetration by the leading two gangs in heavier conditions. Under uneven ground conditions, the rear frame section and gangs can be allowed to “float” over undulations for even cultivation.
The Murray Series 32 Disc Harrow is a three-point linkage mounted implement suitable for Cat II hitches. It is supplied complete with fittings and fasteners including linkage pins and clips. Available in two popular sizes – 16 discs covering around 1.83 metres (6ft) and a 20 disc model covering 2.28 metres (7ft 6in) approx.
Under certain conditions Disc Harrows can throw up a furrow between the inner discs. The option of a centre spring tine is available which will maintain a level finished behind the harrow in these situations. Optional sets of blade scrapers are also available to keep discs clean and working efficiently in wet or sticky conditions.
